Hello all.my name is Ian Hayes.I have joined the ABS as an apprentice.

As of recently I have done my second coarse with ABS mastersmith Bill Burke here in Australia. Previously in 2016 I did a 3 day kitchen knife coarse at the home of journeyman Smith Keith Fludder with Bill Burke. 2 weeks ago I completed the 2 week introduction to bladesmithing coarse with Bill Burke at the heritage listed Eveleigh Works with 16 others. The journey restarts from this point and I am keen as to improve in all areas of this craft. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this community.

Cheers Ian

G'day Ian,

Good to see you on the forum, there is a wealth of knowledge and knowledgeable people on here that are all willing to help.

The class with Bill Burke was great and the location was simply amazing. I would like to thank the ABS, Bill Burke and the Australian knife art association for making this possible.

Cheers

Barry
