Hello my name is Josef Frierdich I am from saint James Missouri I have been making knives since March of this year. I have mainly been doing stock removal but have decided for me to got to back to my roots of this trade on how it all started. I started blacksmithing in the back yard with a brake rotor forge a hair dryer and a chunk of steel mounted to a log with a hammer I found in the barn. From there I was hooked I made hooks hangers dinner bells, cooking utensils and was loving it. Well as I progressed my 6 year old son at the time kept saying dad you should make a knife and of course like any dad would do if your kid shows interest in a craft you do it. Well I decided to do stock removal to start and now I am here I have made and completed just shy of 50 blades this year now I want to go to bladesmithing. So I joined you guys and plan to attend a beginners course this coming fall and I also bought Kyle royers beginners online course to start this coming week. I am looking forward to growing with you guys and honing my skills.
Josef
