Hello all. I used a forge for the first time last year. I’ve been a metal worker for most of my life. I always had a bug in my ear to try it. When I did I found a new passion. My first project was a railroad spike knife 9 months ago. A couple weeks ago I tried layered Damascus. This last weekend I hand forged 3 canisters.  Once i saw that first pattern shinning through scale I knew I was forever hooked. Now to further my studies. Are there any smiths in eastern MO that would be willing to talk shop. Any schools in the state of Missouri. Any information would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time and happy hammering!

Merle Thielemann,

THis is the link to the lists of ABS Smiths per location. Now some of the most experienced smiths have a full schedule, but one of my favorite smiths lives in MO near the Ozarks: Kyle Royer. I would check the list of smiths and send emails to those who have businesses in the area near ya. Best of luck!

Respectfully
Michael
