Evening Gents,
Im Matt from Perth, Western Australia. I have just joined the ABS to further my knowledge on Forging.
I am a part time maker and have been making knives for around 5 years. Im about 65/35 Stock Removal/Forging at the moment.
My mentor is Bruce Barnett JS, also from WA. He has been helping me out for a couple of years over here. I also attended Tharwa Forge in Canberra a couple of years ago to do an introductory course. Karim the owner of Tharwa has also recently joined the ABS. I gained full membership to the Australian Knife Makers Guild in May last year and decided that this was the route I wanted to move down.
