Hello smiths,My name is Christ Duda I reside in the Central Valley of California. I’ve been making knives off and on for about 12 years. Different life circumstances have left my ability to make knives hampered. But I keep pressing on with it. When I couldn’t forge I was doing stock removal. And I’ll admit most of my finished work has been of stock removal.
I started off with a 2 brick forge, O1 1/2” rod, ball peen hammer, 3x18 belt sander on its back(lol) and a 50lbs cast iron calibration weight as an anvil. Since then I’ve built a blown propane forge, 72” grinder and, heat treat oven. I just recently got an Atlas Graham anvil. And will be building a vertical forge.
Though I’ll admit the greatest tool I’ve had thus far have been the knife making forums. All the information, advice and experience. Not to mention the eye candy. Humbles me and helps to drive me where I want to be as a maker.
Thank you for this place and the opportunity.
