Hello to all.My name is Ronald Cranker I live just outside Tampa Fl. Originally from Upstate Ny. I'm only on my 3rd knife build and first forged/partial stock removal. I forged the bevels and very basic shape and cleaned the rest up with a grinder. I will post pic once finished, tho I must say I'm a little intimated by the skill and craftsmanship I see here. You guys definitely inspire. My grandfather was my first intro to handmade knives, he made one for me when I was born. He was a gun and knifesmith. I will post a pic of that also once I figure it out. I'm glad to be here and really look forward to chatting and meeting all. I greatly appreciate in advance for sharing their knowledge and passion and I truly look forward to passing that on as well. Thank you all and have a great evening. Ron

Thank you Mr. Cassidy, I definitely look forward to all the knowledge and hope I can pass some on along the way. Until now, I only had acess to my trusty Wayne Goddard book and you tube. Which is how I discovered you guys. So to have acess to such a large amount of gifted and talented people is fantastic!

Thank you Mr Brackett. I've never been a forum member and I have seen some that could be pretty brutal so I'm excited to participate and see how things go.

Thank you for the welcome Mr. Gallagher. Great to meet you. I definitely would love the opportunity to attend one of the schools. Wish they had one down here. I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures, Im going to post the one I'm working on now which is my first partially forged knife. I did forge the bevels and basic shape and look forward to any helpful critiques. Do you use coal or gas forge? I made my first gas forge out of a #10 bean can. Haha. Now I have a small Devils forge. Well it's getting late. Have a good night.
