Hello, Aaron Kentros from Pine Island Florida here. Im looking for a supplier for 1075 steel. I see Admiral has it but it says 1075/1080. Does this mean the carbon is somewhere in the .75-.80 range? Long story short I'm looking to make myself a knife that I can put a hamon on and a supplier that I can get some from. Semper Fidelis

It means means it could be 1070, 1075, 1080, or maybe?
I get my 1075 from Aldo at the NJ Steel Baron. He also carries other good knife steels.
Hello Aaron. Go with Aldo, The New Jersey Steel Baron. He has 1075,1095,and W2. They all are good for hamons. At least his steel is.
