Gentlemen: I've been going through my toolbox and cleaning out old files - turning some of them into knives. This most recent one turned out nicely - even had a hamon! I've been wanting to forge a few out of farrier's rasps - from what I've learned, a lot of them are case hardened and some people experience difficulties getting them to harden. Do any of you know of a particular brand that's currently available that I can check the steel pedigree on?

Thanks,

TK

Cant help on the rasp but your knife looks great. Very nice fit and finish.

TK,

That's a beautiful knife!

I'm not certain about this, but I think I have heard that MS Joe Keeslar uses new rasps for some of his knives.

Thank you Steve - I'll shoot Mr. Keesler an email.
