I've been searching online a bit and haven't had much luck, so I thought I would ask the collective.

Where do you get bronze sheet and bar stock online?

What kind of bronze do you prefer to use and why?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Otto Frei and Rio Grande. Good consistent quality sheet stock in a variety of thicknesses. For bar stock, I buy their casting grain and make it in the shop. Jeweler's quality supplies.

Interesting that you should ask. I was in Denver this week and went to Atlas Metal and purchased an assortment of bronze bar stock ranging in thickness sizes from 1/16 to 1/4. Atlas has a huge selection including round stock. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

You can of course order online at http://atlasmetal.com or just call them at (800) 662-0143.

National Bronze

I order from here. It's 4" wide by your choice of thickness by the inch. They also have round stock. Shipping is through UPS.

Atlas Metals

If you call and tell them the thickness you want, they will sell you drops. Their bar stock comes in 6' lengths. Easy to deal with, fast shipping.
