I have noticed several of our members that have made some fine videos of either a WIP, or "how to" variety. I am also interested in making a video or two, but I have no idea where to begin. So what cameras, editing software, lighting set ups in the shop, etc. are people using?

the videos I have done, have been filmed with either a older Sony cybershot or Nikon DSLR, I would like to pick up one of the purpose Digital video cameras for doing videos, as the time limit of 20min on DSLR and the fact that the camera overheats and shuts off after to much filming. for editing I use the free download of Microsoft moviemaker it is a very limited editing ability but it is easy to use and free.
