Everything that I heard from the various knife makers was very positive and I applaud Harvey, Gene and all involved for putting together a very enjoyable weekend. [I was pleased enough with the success of the show to sign up for the 2016 show while there if that says anything.]
I hope that everyone had as good of a time as I did. I saw many old friends, made some new ones and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Quite a weekend!

I did want to say that I had a great time not only being a knife maker with a table, but just someone seeing a lot of old, good friends as well.
The show will improve with time if we continue to support it.
I got to see some newer ABS members there and was thrilled.
Joshua States builds one helluva knife. And I enjoyed our chats immensely.
We all did good representing our organization(s).
I believe we even have a new Journeyman Smith amongst us. (It was nice to have testing available to us at this venue).
All aspects of this show will improve if we all do our part.
Thanks, Gary.

I had a great time and although this was my first "Knife Show" I compared it to the many "Art Shows" I have displayed in and thought it was very well organized, in a great location, and very successful. I am extremely happy to have finally met all you guys F2F and got to meet some new folks too. Those guys (Denis Mura and Milko DiPaco) from Italy were too much fun.
Thanks Karl, I truly appreciate the compliment. There were too many high quality makers in that room for me to count. One particularly fine maker that I had never heard of before is Ben Breda. That man has got something cookin'!
How about some photos? Should we post them here, or in the gallery? Which would work better for the website?

I had a nice show! I hope my schedule allows me to participate again next year.
I really enjoyed the show. I expect to be there next year and will be trying to up my game with my knives. I consider it to have wonderful potential.
It was great meeting you Joshua.
Steve, its always a pleasure seeing you at the shows. Your attitude toward testing was exemplary and I am at your service should you need my help.
Thanks for the thread Gary. I always enjoy you and your fine work.
I enjoyed the show and hope they can find a spot for me at next year's event.
I enjoyed the show. Some really great knives and people. Joshua, it was good to finally meet you in person. I plan to be there next year.

From my observation we have some good enthusiasm for next year, many table holders have deposits in for the 2016 show. Thank you to all our members that help me in so many ways, making my job easier. I have a great job because ABS has great members.
If you didn’t have a table, get on the waiting list and be prepared for a last minute call, some health issues don’t give table holders a lot of warning and many on the waiting list cannot be spontaneous.
Butch and I are at the SOFA Quad State Round up Blacksmith event this weekend. The theme is education and Butch is the demonstrator representing the ABS and also making a hawk. I feel bad for all of you who miss this event, because you miss all the tailgate sales, a few acres of rusty stuff, awesome. So exciting.

I didn't get the chance to see & hear them all but there was were some excellent seminars there to add to the experience. I was able to hear Dr. Jim Batson on dogbone Bowies & Adam DesRosiers on integral techniques who were both excellent. I learned a lot from both of them.
I also took the show as a learning experience as to what the public wants and doesn't want. I took quite a variety of styles of knives to the show. I sold out of some and had others barely picked up which has shown me more of what to bring next year (at least until the trend changes <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> ).

Sally and I enjoyed the show and had a good time visiting with everyone. During the ABS Board of Directors meeting on Saturday we voted to have the ICCE show again in 2016 and after the date is set I will post it.
I filmed the engraving seminar of Master Engraver Sam Alfano and will edit the footage and post one or more videos from his outstanding presentation on the ABS YouTube Channel. In addition, I have been working with James Poplin at Pop's Knife Supply and he gave me an SD card at the show with video footage that he filmed where he describes the materials used and the recommended operating procedures for the numerous different types of sanding belts and specialty belts available today for knife makers.
The ABS Forum Moderating Team took advantage of the ICCE show to have breakfast meetings. We communicate with each other almost daily by email, our forum, and phone to discuss ways to better serve and assist our members but it was great to get together.

Hello all,
Although I am new to shows, in my opinion the show was a success and I will be back next year. I'm sure the minor kinks will be worked out as the show evolves. I have a lot of fun at shows, visiting with makers and collectors I know, and meeting new ones.
Joshua, thanks for the compliments on my knives! I really enjoyed your work as well. You are well on your way to Journeyman.
Thanks to all who made the ICCE happen. I hope it continues to grow and benefit both organizations.
Ben
Thanks for the good comments on the ICCE show. We are already working on plans to make next years show even better.

I think that's the key right there. Both organizations should benefit from this show, and I hope they do and it brings them together for more joint ventures. Pool our resources, so to speak, and provide a united and prolific venue for all knife enthusiasts.
