Does anyone have suggestions on how to finish a stacked leather handle? Is there a sealant that will harden the outer surface so the leather doesn't fray as it's being sanded?

William,
There are some threads in this area, Handles and Guards, that will help you. The leather can be stabilized like wood, or some just coat it with CA glue.
