Hi,

I just did some rope filework on a 1/2" thick stablized leather block.

The filework patter is the standard rope using a round file.

No dye added. The stabilized leather was just buffed.

Hi

It has fascinated me 🙂

I havn't tried it yet but if you use a stabilized leather block as the knife handle you can inlay something you want into the side of the

handle. Inlay whatever it is just like you would a wood knife handle.

Will it work OK....I dunno.

I have stabilized my silver wire inlay in a knife handle....stabilized after the hand silver wire inlay.

I also think you may be able to carve the stabilized stacked leather handle. Using an air powered hand grinder.
