Damascus "W" pattern reproduction of an Edward Barnes & Son Bowie by JR Cook, MS

This is a Damascus "W" pattern reproduction of an Edward Barnes & Son Bowie. I will be making some modifications to the handle and blade. It won't be an exact reproduction as it is a Damascus Blade. The handle I will carve out of Ivory and it will be a little bigger.

I got this one finished, as you can see it is not an exact reproduction of the knife pictured above, but I did get my inspiration from it.

The blade is 6-3/4" and it is 11-3/4" overall. All of the fittings are Iron and the grip is Elephant Ivory I have carved.

I wanted to make something special for the show, so I have started what I am calling my Pinnacle Series and I am using the un-numbered ALT stamp that I had reserved for my personal knives made for me.

So this is the first knife of the series. It being a Pinnacle Series the knife is mounted on the stand pictured below.

I saw this one at the meeting at Uncle Al's while I was down there for the Intro course, and I really like the carved handle!
