What is everyone's favorite way of finishing cocobolo or ziricote? I have basically just sanding and polished with a buffing wheel, but wanted to see if there were any other options out there. I saw Ed Caffrey's video on finishing with Tru-oil, and was wondering if that would work on an oily wood like cocobolo or ziricote? Have only done a couple of knives with these woods, and wanted to see what other's experiences were.
Thanks,
Casey
High grit sand and maybe a buff for cocobolo.
Its an oily wood so I haven't had much success in oil finishing it.
I haven't used Zircote so I can't offer any info on it.
