I recently bought a block of vintage Westinghouse paper micarta (butterscotch color). I bought it mainly out of curiosity more than anything else.

Question: Would you use it on a top quality knife or should it be put on something less?

Hang onto it until the right knife comes along and hollers for it.

I had enough for 3 handles. Made one for myself and sold it. I'm keeping the other 2 for special projects. That stuff is not easy to find.

I think Karl shares my thoughts. It's not so much that a lesser knife needs it as much as the right knife needs it. I like it too.

I found a place for it:

I found that it checkered easier than most woods and gave me the old look that this one needed.
