I was chosen this year to make the JS knife of the year, I finished the knife and tried to film a short video explaining what I had made and realized I have no idea what to say. So to steal a page from Keven Cashens playbook I figured I would ask you all.
what do you all want to know about the knife?

As a member, I appreciate you taking the time, effort, and obvious skill to build and donate this outstanding knife for the 2017 ABS Knife Auction. This is the most important annual fund raiser for the American Bladesmith Society.
In line with your request, my question is - How did you make the Damascus steel for your knife?

4. Was there a lesson learned by making this particular knife, and if so, what was it?

1) What made you choose this style of dagger?
2) How did you choose your materials?
3) Did your quenching process involve a red-headed holy man?
4) How on earth did you get him to agree to that?!
