My Daughter, Mandi, is getting married on Dec 27th,

This one was a lot of fun! An all Titanium Wedding Cake set. The knife blade and the cake server are both .090" 6AL4V titanium. I forged the cake server, then cleaned it all up, finished it to 2000 grit, then did some selective texturing, anodizing, then some more texturing.

The Cake Knife has a 9" blade, with .155" thick Titanium handle scales. I've spent the last two full days at the engraving bench, engraving, texturing. After anodizing the scales, I cleaned off the flats with 2000 grit, so the purple anodized engraving would "pop". I also masked the blade's edge before anodizing......can you guess that Mandi's wedding colors are purple and silver?

Now if I can just keep my mouth shut until here future husband Tim arrives on the 23rd.....

And the reverse sides.....

Ed

I showed the photos to my wife Sally and she said: " Ohhhh! Just beautiful. I love the heart shape server and everything is just gorgeous! "

Great job!

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I'm having a hard time not letting Mandi see them.....she comes poppin into the shop ask'in...."Hey Dad, whatcha doin?" I'm waiting on the display case to arrive (yeah, I'm a lazy good for nothin when it comes to making a disply case...so I ordered one)

Only gotta keep things a secret for about another week....hopefully Mandi doesn't stumble across the forums and find the pics!
