There has been a severe weather outbreak this evening in Kansas and Arkansas which is heading east. I can see from monitoring the Weather Channel that the storms have tracked through towns where we have ABS members. I hope and pray that all of our members and their families are safe. Please check in if you are in any of the affected storm areas.

Looked pretty snakey when I left the hammer-in; but got home with no problem.
Looks like most of it went north of us; central and north across OK and AR.
Doesn't look good for the next few days though.
Great hammer-in you guys, we had a blast.

I heard from John Perry, he posted he and his family are okay. Our thoughts are with them over there.
There will probably be more severe weather today.
I made it home with just a little rain. Good weekend in Old Washington.

We didn't have any damaging winds here. Pretty nasty thunderstorms with some hail but luckily no damage. All my best to those who had worse.
Wish that I could have joined you at the hammer-in. It sounds like it was a good time.

I'm ok. It hit North of us. David Etchieson just got to work after a 3 hour drive. I have not heard from any others.
I just heard from Jim Crowell and he and Jenny are fine. He arrived home in Mountain View, AR last night from the Hammer-In in Washington, AR just ahead of the storm. He also talked to John Perry who was not in Mayflower when the tornado stuck. Neighbors told John that his house was fine and he is on his way to check on it.

By third person I heard that Bert Gaston's home sustained some damage although I do not know how much. I am reluctant to report unless I am 100% certain so please take that with a grain of salt. If some one has heard from Bert, please clarify.
The drive home on I-40 was interesting to say the least! Didn't have much rain, but the winds, yikes! We had heavy storms last night, but no damage. Looks like we're under the gun most of today and tonight here in NW Mississippi.
Great hammer-in!
Stay Safe!

BR Hughes asked me to post this for him on the ABS Forum:
"I was distressed to learn last night that Bert and Thelma Gaston's lovely home in West Little Rock had been paartially destroyed by a tornado shortly after he returned home from Washington, Arkansas, where he had served as an instructor at the spring Piney Woods Hammer=In. Thelma was out of town visiting friends, and Bert was not injured, so we have that to be thankful for. Please keep the Gaston's in your prayers."

I am really sorry to hear that. First the fire and now this. I am glad Bert is okay. Sad news.

Bert and Thelma have sure had their share of challenges, first with the fire and now this. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I hate to hear that. Glad that they weren't hurt though.
Sorry to hear of the damages to Gaston's home. Will keep them in our prayers.
