I want to post a question and I am guessing this is the area to post it in. What are your feelings about Forged In Fire on the History Channel? I have been told it is professional suicide to be on the show. I am really needing some imput on this topic.
Those who dare will succeed or fail, but atleast they dared for greatness.
I found it amusing to watch. its like any other show on TV, you have to watch it with the understanding that theres a lot of factors that contribute to problems. I imagine its insanely stressful being timed one a knife while being recorded doing so in front of 50+ staff working all the AV gear and progression of the show.

Well I can certainly say it is not Suicide. my sales have taken a slight increase and the level of work I am being asked to do is much more satisfying... but then I won.. That said I know several other winners, some have had little to no affect on sales some have had huge increase. Through the show I have gotten to know many of the other players, only a few seem to have had a bad experience but none that I know of have had a detrimental affect on sales.
There is a risk in doing any show, TV folk craft TV not knives and have no idea what we are talking about. they might make you look the fool just from ignorance or you might screw up and make your self a fool. the exposure of performing well at your craft in front of 1-2 million viewers and being shown all around the world is not a bad thing in anyway.
