Hey,

where on earth do I find steel that is 5/16" thick? Admiral steel carries a max. of 1/4", and no where else seems to carry thicker steels. I'm finished with leaf springs and all the frustration that accompanies them. So, where do I find equally thick steel? 1075 and 5160 are my main targets.

Thank you so much for your help; you are all always very helpful,

Joseph

Joseph,

I just checked and it looks like New Jersey Steel Baron has .312" thick 1075. He's great to deal with and has a high quality product.

I will second Ed on this one. Give Aldo a call, 973-949-4140. Check out his website: Steel Baron

He is a great guy to deal with.

I would have to say the same as Ed and Brion I Just recieved an order of 1075 in .312" and some 1/4" W2 from him. Himself and all his staff are great to work with.

Besides Joseph, Aldo is a bladesmith also. He knows what we need for steel.
