John E. Suedmeier, age 45, of Nebraska City, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home, as a result of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) which was diagnosed February of 2011.
John was born on March 25, 1967 in Ontario, OR; the son of Harlan L. “Sid†and Mary F. (Kline) Suedmeier. He graduated from Nebraska City High School with the Class of 1985. He then attended Southeast Community College in Milford, NE, where he studied auto parts distribution.
John worked in and around auto parts distribution stores his entire life. He owned and operated the Bulldog Auto Parts Store in Auburn, NE and also worked at Sid's Auto Parts in Tecumseh, NE and Big A Auto Parts in Nebr. City. He also had worked for
Cox Cable and SAT Tech as a installation technician. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Nebr. City. John enjoyed NASCAR racing and Van Halen music. He was also active in bowling league in Nebr. City.
He is survived by his father Harlan "Sid" Suedmeier of Nebr. City; sister Keri Hincker and husband Scott of Unadilla, NE; nephew Samuel Hincker; devoted friend/caregiver and cousin Chris Suedmeier of Bellevue, NE; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Suedmeier on April 15, 2009.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Rev. John Cotton of Christ Lutheran Church officiating.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran (Stutheit) Cemetery at rural Johnson, NE.
Memorials may be given to ALS of the Heartland or Christ Lutheran Church in Nebr. City.
