I am saddened to tell you that Master Smith Roger Massey's father, Ellis Edward Massey, passed away on October 4th. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Texarkana Funeral Home.

Biography

Ellis Edward Massey, age 85, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died October 4, 2012, in a local hospital.

Mr. Massey was born August 19, 1927, in Doddridge, Arkansas. He was retired from D&Z and was a member of Highland Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Aline Massey and one great grandson, Lane Alan Massey.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Dillon Edward and Lajuana Massey, of Texarkana, Arkansas, Roger Denton and Billie Faye Massey, of Texarkana, Arkansas and David Lynn and Debbie Massey, of Texarkana, Texas, two sisters, Mae Gonzalez, of Rowlette, Texas and Willie Stroup, of Texarkana, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a number of other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Saturday October 6, 2012 at East Memorial Gardens with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
