Just to let everyone know, Diane and I are fine. Norman had a tornado this afternoon about 4:30. No damage at our house and no major injuries in the city. The tornado went about a mile and a half north of us. We are supposed to have more excitement tomorrow. Just love springtime in Oklahoma.

Sally and I saw that you had a tornado in Norman during National news and Sally immediately sent an email to check on you and Diane. It is great to hear that you both are OK.

I can see out the window that our 14,000 foot mountains are getting snow as I write this and we are expecting it to reach the ranch by tonight. Springtime in the Colorado Rockies!

Brion,

Glad to hear that you guys are okay. I just looked at the radar and see that you have a big storm over you as I write this. We too have an ugly little storm about to hit here.

The severe weather forcast for our area (and yours)tomorrow has never been such a strong warning, so far in advance of the expected weather.

We've got 23 people coming to our house tomorrow for a birthday party. Hope we can get them all in the basement.

Stay safe!!

I want snow!!!!

Yes Steve, I have rarely seen warnings like this. I am sure it will be interesting. Luckily we have good neighbors with a safe room. You all stay safe up there.

Steve and Brion

Please keep an eye on the skies and weather alerts tomorrow! We want you to stay safe.

I just saw this for your weather forecast.

OKLAHOMA WEATHER AND OKLAHOMA CITY WEATHER NEWS

Forecasters say Saturday storms 'life threatening'

Updated: 33 min ago

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — In an unusually early and strong warning, national weather forecasters cautioned Friday that conditions are ripe for violent tornadoes to rip through the nation from Texas to Minnesota this weekend. As states across the middle of the country prepared for the worst, storms were already...

Sally and and I are at 7,400 feet and yesterday out of no where we had 60 mph winds which lifted up and destroyed the barn on the neighboring ranch. Sally saw it as happened from a window in her home.

I love spring time in Oklahoma. All the pretty trees with their limbs blown off. All the beautiful gardens that the hail smashed up. all the little birdies walking around with no feathers, cause the 'nado got 'em. Then; it turns hotter than hell for six months.

Glad to hear everyone is O K .

We've got the Weather Channel on, watching this mess develop. We have 10 guests here and more on the way. I'm supposed to grill hamburgers for the company this evening. I've never cooked during a tornado warning before.

Y'all hang on to your shorts this evening!!!

Steve we just play the severe weather drinking game. Every time the TV goes beep beep beep, you take a drink. Every time they say tornado warning you take a drink. Every time they say mesocyclone you take a drink. If they say priority one that is worth two drinks. Yes we do have a weatherman that says that. And anytime he says get Val on the gettner, well that is three drinks. Okies knows how to have fun. Oh and you have to be out in your yard watching for the tornado.

Seriously you all be safe and Diane says with the right motivation you would be surprised how many people can cram into a storm cellar.

The weather channel is pretty scary tonight. They said there have been 60 tornadoes in OK and Kansas. I do hope all is well with everyone.

Take care
