I stay in Lafayette Louisiana and I was wondering if there was anyone Near my location that would be willing to take me under this wing and share to knowledge with me. I've made knives in the past, but they shy from the standards I hope to one day meet. I've got most of the basics down, but I approach this situation with an empty cup. Check out the ABS school classes. You are relatively close.
If you go to the ABS site, you can find all of the members, and where they are located.
Most have contact info. Go to a local show to meet makers. In the mean time, repetition,
and trial and error, build your skills, and will keep you moving forward.
