I just send the knife with regular mail. Declare it as a tool.

No problem.

Sometimes with customs you have to be "creative"......declaring the contents as a "Knife" is a sure way to either get it "lost" <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//dry.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='<_<' /> or confiscated. As Erik said, "Tool", "Camp Tool", "Culinary Tools", etc. Anything other than "knife"/"Knives".

As was mentioned, what you call it is what draws attention. Use words like cutlery, garden tool, or something basic. When I shipped my knives to the ICCE show, I declared them as cutlery.

Hi Robin!

I send my JS knives by agency (i´m from Spain), and call them "camping tools", and had no problems.

Hope it will help.

Guillermo.
