I received the following tragic news about a fire at the home of Jim and Ann Walker in Morrilton, Arkansas on Friday, December 9th.

"I just got word that Jim and Ann Walker’s home burned down today (Friday) in Morrilton. They lost everything. I have not spoken to them yet but please keep them in your prayers.

They are staying with their daughter tonight."

An update from Angie Newton on the Walkers today (Saturday):

"I received another call from the lady who works with Ann Walker. She told me Jim had driven a load of trash down the driveway in his truck and then came back to the house and parked the truck in the garage. He and Ann were in the kitchen when they heard a loud roar. They looked out and the truck and attic were on fire. Jim tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher and water hose while waiting on the fire department but was unable to contain the fire. The whole house burned. They were only able to save a basket of dirty clothes from the wash room, a file cabinet of important papers and a few clothing items from out of a dresser but I believe all furniture was not salvageable. His shop was fine and they moved a couple of other vehicles away from the house so they have those. Their cell phones were destroyed so we don’t have any way to contact them yet."

I will keep you updated as I receive more information.

Thank you Dale!

I am also receiving inquiries from our members asking how they can help. I have learned of one way to help that I put in the December ABS Email Newsletter to all ABS members today.
