ok, so i am going to try my hand at forging my version of MS Joe Keeslars Brut de forge, does anyone know if this is a good rasp to use? or can someone suggest a good brand rasp to use? also if this is a suitable rasp would i heat treat like it is 1095?

They come from Brazil, not China, a plus to me. I have made a couple of knives using them. I prefer the Hellers. I treated it like 1095. They chopped and cut well. They made nice looking knives.

thanks george i was curious as to heat treatment. was the edge retention good?
