I like to post jokes now and again, some stolen, some original, some adapted.  I have landed in FB jail, twitter jail etc for posting things that are a joke that some take WAY to seriously.  I started a page on my website for blacksmith/bladesmith humor so that I can post what I want instead of the woke censors on social media.  I try and post a new joke every friday.

Michael Samdahl I would leave, but I am getting a surprising number of customers from FB posts.  Just have to put up with the rifraf.  Maybe someday I will get rep like some of the veterans here and not need to deal with, but for now, it seems like a necessary evil.

Michael Samdahl The biggest problem I have on FB is when I post jokes.  That seems to be the most offensive to some people.  Im too old to really care.  I have told jokes and been the butt of jokes and laughed just as hard.  The hand joke has gotten me a number of comments about "You must be a bad bladesmith if thats what your hands look like" or "As a chef, I take offense" and so on.  I feel like screaming, its a joke!  The best was a bladesmith from Australia from 5 Finger Forge, that has actually lost 5 fingers in an accident, and he said he hasnt laughed that hard in a long time.  So who knows.

I cant boost a post or advertise, that lands me in jail, even when I try and advertise a rose.  I post mostly in the various knife groups and try and call out the frauds.  I got two orders by calling out a fraud because the customers appreciated the honesty.

I avoid the words like weapon or tactical, blade can be a trigger for the bots too.  So mostly its a knife, but try and avoid that word too, especially after a crime has hit the news where a knife was used.

50 years ago we watched the Jetsons thinking we would have flying cars by now.  Instead we have to put "Do not eat this" on the Subway wrapper.
