The reason behind limiting the size of images uploaded to the website and Forum is that it takes our users longer to download and view images with file sizes beyond the limits that I have specified in my previous posts. Not everyone has a fast internet connection and for a user with dial up or a slow download speed the Forum will not be the optimal experience that we are trying to provide.
I use the latest edition of Adobe Photo Shop for many of my image editing tasks on the ABS website and Forum. While it is an outstanding professional level software product, it can be time consuming to learn and may have more features than you may need.
Free image re-sizing applications are available and will serve your needs to re-size images for uploading to the Forum. Picassa by Google is an outstanding software product and has many additional features including a photo organizer and is free. The website is Picassa One caution is that it is 9 mg software download so it may take a while to download using a dial up or slow connection.
An easy to use image re-sizing application that is simple, free, and does not require a software download is Web Resizer.
Another free product to re-size your images is VSO. The software download is 7 mg and the website is VSO. VSO has an excellent video on YouTube to show you how to use the software and demonstrate the features at YouTube.
There are other free software products available and you can search the internet for other options searching on "image re-sizing software".

Thanks, Dan.
After dealing with some re-sizing difficulties of my own, I discovered a fairly user-simple site here as well.
Surely made things easy.

Good find Karl! Makes resizing the images easy and quick! I just used that tool to resize the images I uploaded to the gallery. Thanks Pal!
