Have you looked at the Members list?
If you have not, I encourage you to do that. It's a way to get to know who is in the ABS and find out a little about them. In fact, if you have not filled out your "about me" page, please take the time to do that. You can always edit it at anytime with the latest facts about yourself.
I'm finding so many features of the site that are quite nice if we take advantage of them. Lin
Lin:
Thank you for pointing this feature out. I would also encourage all ABS members to fill out their "About me" page and to add a signature which can be as simple as your name but you can also add other information such as your rating and email address.
The 'Members" area and your "About me" page can ONLY be viewed by ABS members that are logged into the Forum and cannot be viewed by the general public in order to protect your privacy.
The security of your personal information is an important concern of the ABS Website Team. Personal information that YOU enter in your user Profile page on the Forum is in a separate database from the ABS Membership database and can normally be viewed by only members of the Forum. There is an optional field or place for members to "Select Your Birthday" also known as your date of birth. Entering your full date of birth on your Profile page could be a target for identity thieves if they were to gain access to this information.
It is strongly recommended that you choose to ONLY show the month and day, or no birthday at all. Do NOT enter the year. See the screen capture illustration below.
If you choose to enter the month and day only of your birthday in your profile, your birthday will still be able to be displayed at the bottom of the Forum homepage and on the Calendar but your age will not be displayed. Also your full date of birth will not be displayed on your profile page in the Forum.
If you need assistance with any of these features please contact the Administrator, or one of the Forum Moderators, Steve Culver or Brion Tomberlin.
