Good day,

I was wondering if any of the esteemed gentelmen on this forum have ever forged or attemted to forge n690?

Yep! Its not a very good idea. Its very "red hard", and has a VERY narrow forging range. For me, whether or not I forge a given steel is based on if I feel I can improve it. I spent about 2 years working at forging "stainless" steels....my verdict is that in most cases its a waste of time at best.

Thank you, i thought I was doing something silly. Now I see I was just being play dumb nearly broke my arm trying to get some kind of shape.
