Dan i was wondering is there a way to embed videos so they play here instead of just links to youtube? that would be a cool function and keep people in the forum instead of sending them to youtube. just a thought.

Thanks Anthony! i have been busy. i recently tried plate quenching like MS Brion told us about for thin/ kitchen knives and OMG it works sooo freaking well. i first oil quench for 3 to 6 seconds (depending on blade size) and then go straight to some aluminum plates. it has practically solved all my HT warp issues. it works like magic! i even ground all the way to sharp before HT on a 1095 damascus mix and no wavy bacon edge or any warp in the blade! i was amazed. any way i know you make a kitchen knife or two, try plate quench on you next one its like magic!

Thanks for the info/reminder. I remember M S Brion telling us about that technique, and that is on my to try list, that keeps getting longer.

Anyway this has been a slow spring- summer, I broke my right shoulder, my hammer arm of course. But with physical therapy it is starting to be usable again.

Take care and keep in touch.

Thank You Sir.

Hope to see you around, maybe this Falls, KGA shop tour, or the Piney Woods Hammer-In.

Thanks Tucker

It has made several frustrating weeks. I am able to do some forging now, but do not have all of my control back. It will just take time.

Hi Anthony,

Sorry to hear about your arm. I'm glad you are doing better and hope you are back up to speed soon.
