I have been looking around and so far I see very little if any mention of anvil tools, i.e. hardy/pritchel tools used. I was curious what tools everyone is using in this regard?
Ed, I have a cutoff hardie and a couple of fullering swages. I also have some doming hardies that I use for bending things. That is about it. I have seen some other things, but so far have not found the need for them, like a guillotine fixture.

A couple of fullering swages, a cut off hardie and a hold down tool pretty well covers it for me.

I have and use three cut off hardies. I have a hardie clamp (holds a piece tight on the anvil), bottom swage, several fullering pieces (4 x 2 inches and one that is 1/2 inch on top), a cone about 7 inches in height coming to a pt and 3 inches at the bottom, a round flatter (3 x 3) on top, square flatter(3 x 3 x 2), 1.5 inch half round bottom, and some other stuff I never use.
The cut offs are essential. The clamp comes in handy every so often, and the rest get used several times a year. My anvil is an old 302lb Peter Wright and the edges are not crisp. So I will use the square's edge rather than the edge on my anvil.

Same as the others, mostly hot cut and guillotine.
I learned last night that my short sugar anvil will hold a cold chisel, i have one with a 4 or 6 inch wide cutting area that fits nicely. I need to make a hold down tool and a spring. It does seem that the spring would help with the beveled edges quite well.
My larger anvil is not that square and even tho it is heavier I do believe that my shorter lighter anvil does better work.
