Just finished up this folder for the Blade Show. For a while I'd seen makers laminating Carbon steels with 416, and after a bit of trial an error I figured that one out. Then the though occurred to me....if you can do it with carbon steel, why not with Mosaic Damascus? The welding was the easy part, but I had to rethink and readjust my entire heat treating process, from thermal cycling to hardening, in order to make it work.
