In this short ABS YouTube Channel video Master Smith Kevin Harvey tells how to apply the Rockwell Hardness Scale (RC) to blade hardening and tempering techniques in bladesmithing. Master Smiths Kevin and Heather Harvey operate and teach ABS approved classes at the Heavin Forge Knife Making School in Belfast, South Africa.
I filmed this video at the SOFA Quad State Conference at the fairgrounds in Troy, Ohio in October 2016. The theme was International and SOFA had demonstrators from South Africa, Ireland, and Germany. There were more than 1,200 paid attendees at the event. I am working on additional videos of Master Smiths Kevin and Heather Harvey from this event and will upload them when completed.
