Atlanta Blade Show Temporary Table Substitutions

Alicia Newton who is the Director of the Atlanta Blade Show contacted me today and asked that I advise our members of a special situation that had to be managed for this year's show. Alicia told me that this year there will be some non ABS members sprinkled throughout the ABS section and in some cases in tables near the front. They had table cancellations and told those exhibitors they could have their tables back next year because there were medical reasons for the cancellations. They resold the tables for this year only to new individuals on the wait list.These were special cases where the knife makers had a medical reason and will return next year and so they placed a new person in the table for this year only and let them know that they can not renew the table.

While serving as Webmaster for the ABS I have worked behind the scenes with Alicia Newton on scheduling and arrangements for ABS events at the Atlanta Blade Show for several years and she has always looked out for the American Bladesmith Society. Every year Alicia arranges for and provides facilities to the ABS including the ABS table, our MS and JS judging rooms, ABS Knife Auction room, and the awards ceremony room at no cost to us.
