I gave this Bowie a 240 layer random pattern blade. The handle is of stabilized bone w/ 416 & brass furniture.

Much of the rest was inspired by various 19th century makers so this one has a little old & a little new.

Let me know if you like the combination of old & new approach or not.

Gary, I like the combination of the brass and stainless. They pull out the natural colors of the bone. Nice work my friend.

Very nice Gary! I'm enjoying seeing your work in antique bowie patterns.

Thank you everyone. I'm glad that you liked it.

Steve--I've enjoyed making these antique renditions and have learned a lot along the way as well. I've started another that will require some skills that I've not tried before in that it will take doing some foundry work. I'm still awaiting some of the casting supplies but hopefully should have done it for the Little Rock show.
