Hello Everyone,
I am very new to both knife making in general, and completely inexperienced with engraving. I have been watching some videos that use engraving to finish knives, and am interested in learning. I can find lots of both free & pay resources, but am having a devil of a time locating tools. I am specifically looking for completely powerless engraving. Essentially, I want to use chisels and mallets to do it. Does anyone have know of a beginners engraving tool kit? Brownell's has one, but they seem to be perpetually out of stock. Thanks!
Riogrande.com is a good place to start. I buy quite a few things from them. Great selection of files as well.
