I plan on purchasing a larger anvil soon along with fabricating a custom steel frame for it out of some structural steel. I am wondering just what is a good Height to have the striking face of the anvil, relative to your body.
Ya i think i almost abusing the Apprentice Corner however i also am trying to ask questions others may not think to ask.
I'm not certain sitting here at my desk, but I think I made my anvils to sit at knuckle height with arm at my side.

Standing, with your hammer hand in a loose fist, your knuckels should touch the face of the anvil. This height makes hammer more comfortable, but more importantly, it creates a situation where hammer blows are naturally "square".
