Hi all,
I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have helped me start making damascus. Joshua States, Ed Caffrey, and Karl Anderson especially really helped me out, first with setting up my forge correctly, then with actually forge welding. When we were in America this last year, I got to take a course with Kevin Cashen on making damascus, and it was fantastic! I really learned a lot, and I wanted to share a picture of a knife I made recently with all the help I have received from the community.
The blade is 192 layers of 15N20 and 1084, it has a brass bolster and an Amboyna wood handle.
Hello Andrew,
You are very welcome. I enjoyed our day making damascus, and look forward to seeing your work in the future.
