Is it possible to sharpen these types of knives? I have a possible client that would like these types sharpened.
It is!
You can buy sharpening stones/rods that come in all different shapes for the different types of serrations, or you wrap sandpaper around an object that matches the serration type (like a round pencil). There are also certain dremel attachments that if you're very, very careful with or set a rig up can get in there in most cases.
It is usually much more work than it's worth, imho, but if it makes the customer happy then that's what you've gotta do.
