Very nice piece! Well done guys.

One thing that I have learned while working in close proximity to TV and newspaper headquarters. These folks are always looking. Looking for newsworthy or interesting events, subjects, etc. I have phone numbers in my IPhone so I can call just about any of the news sources in Little Rock when I see something that they might be interested in. The newspaper photographers are usually willing to give you their number and will thank you when you let them know about events or happenings. Of course, I use this to promote museum events for the most part but there are opportunities besides that. Some end up to be knife and forged blade related. The key is to be ready before hand.

But sometimes these photographers are walking the street for stories and will often just show up. Just this week one showed up in the museum shop and took some photos of our Tuesday practice group. NESM and it's staff are ready since they are in operation daily and are comfortable speaking and demonstrating their craft. Again, this readiness is key.

Email from Nick Rossi:

"Thanks for the shout out Dan! It was a really fun event.

We were set up with a forge, two anvils, a vise and oxy acetylene literally downtown in front of the courthouse. At times the spectators were 3 deep and many came out specifically because they saw the news reel. I attached a picture of the finished sculpture. It's a snowflake stylized after the Auburn Winterfest logo. I have attached a picture. Thanks for all your support! "
