This is a picture from the New England School of Metalwork Introduction to Bladesmithing course going on. The instructor is Jim Crowell. For those of you that do not know Jim. He is a great instructor and loves teaching. I think this photo shows why. This student and his father traveled from Israel for this class. The look on Jim's face and the big grin on the students say everything. This is why we teach.

Well said Brion. Excellent photo. It should be in a magazine. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//smile.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Jim has been at it for a long time and obviously still enjoys passing on his skills and the look on this student's face shows why. Ironical I had a man in my shop this week that tested for his M.S. under Jim 22 years ago. That's a lot of knowledge that's been passed along in that length of time.
