I mailed my check for the intro class thursday. I also called and made reservations for my room. The place i calles had a special weekly rate for bladesmiths. It was around 220 a week. I dont remember the exact rate but thats close..Mike Lodge of Waynesville

Mailed my check last week for the Handle & Guards class at HCC. There may still be a couple of seats available if you would like to come too. The class has had a change in it schedule making it easier for those that could not attend due to Father's Day.

Those who have taken the class with Jim all have given him great reviews. Don't miss this great class. I will post a thread with photos when I get back.

Jim is one of the best teachers I've ever had the opportunity to learn from. If he tells you a way to do something, and you ask "why do it that way?" he *always* has an incredibly in depth and objective explanation, and never gets offended by the desire to know the "why" along with the "how".

I consider the H&G class I took last year with him to be one of, if not the single best investment towards knife making I've made, and I've invested a lot. <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//wink.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Anybody that's on the fence, if you're having struggles or doubts about guards or handles, you're foolish to pass up this opportunity. Plain and simple.

So wait, is the class cancelled or not?

It is my understanding from an email from Bill Wiggins that this Handles and Guards class that was set for June 3-7, 2013 has been cancelled.

BUT I received another email tonight (May 16th) from Bill and the Handles and Guards Class is NOW back on the schedule for June 3-7, 2013. It will be a great class!
