I made a motion at the June 2013 ABS Board of Directors meeting in Atlanta that we join the Maryland Nonprofits organization in order to have access to resources to help keep us updated on changes that affect non profit organizations in legal, regulatory, insurance, and tax areas as well as Board Member and staff training opportunities. The motion received a second and was passed by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors.

I have been in contact with the Maryland Nonprofits organization and yesterday I was advised that our application for membership was accepted.
