When does my membership expire?

All one (1) year memberships end on December 31 each year, except for the members that have purchased 5-year memberships. Login to the ABS website with your User Name and Password and the system displays your Personal Profile Page which contains your address information, your ABS Join Date and your membership expiration date. Your ABS membership card also lists your membership expiration date.

What is my User Name?

Typically your user name is the name that appears on the label when you receive your ABS Journal. The only difference is that you must use an underline “_” character between your names. If you aren’t sure what name is being used, go to the ABS website homepage and enter your last name in the Search box in the upper right. If there are multiple people with the same last name, a list will appear. Click on your name and based upon what you have given the ABS for first and last names, you will be able to determine your user name. If you don’t recall your password, after you enter your username, click on “Forgot Password?”.

When do I renew my membership?

You can renew your membership anytime prior to your expiration date, which is December 31 each year.

You can renew online on the ABS Website with a credit card from your Personal Profile Page. If you prefer to send a check or money order, you can use the form that was mailed to you. If you misplaced the Mail-In Membership Renewal form you can click on the attached PDF download and print it.

This seemed like a good place to post a reminder about renewal for 2015. Sally and Dan Cassidy did an excellent job here, giving all details to renew, so I won't repeat all of it and if you have a question you will find an answer here.

I want to thank all of you that have renewed already. And remind those that have forgotten.

We presently have members who have expired 12/31/14, but are still able to log on and renew on the website, renew by mail or call me and renew by phone. The grace period is past, so there is a late fee of $20. If you want to retain your join date, which might be critical if you plan to become a Journeyman or if you want to retain your present JS or MS rank, you will have to pay the late fee. Members can log on with their username, which is their name and most often, as stated by Sally and Dan, it has an underscore between the first and last, which is often forgotten. When you log in you are on your profile page and the expiration date and a renew button are there, the late fee is automatically added if you have already expired. If you renew by mail, I cannot update your membership unless you include the $20 late fee. If you have any trouble with login, let me know and I will help.

No. The ABS uses Authorize.net to accept and process payments through the ABS Website.

I have tried to pay online 4 times now and the cart doesn't acknowledge that the payment processes. I check my credit card and it shows the charge then an immediate refund from the cart. It's done the exact same thing all 4 times.
