Hello to All,
This past weekend on December 13, 2014, Carroll County, Maryland held an event entitled "Museums by Candlelight". The William F. Moran, Jr. Museum was open for visitors and a great time was enjoyed by all. There were many of Bill's outstanding knives, iron work and memorabilia on display, and we even fired-up Bill's forge! We were lucky enough to have a special visitor, Joe Keeslar, perform a demonstration of his Brut de Forge style, and display some of his work. Jay Hendrickson demonstrated forging a fine looking full tang hunter. Other demonstrators included myself and Steve Nuckels. It was a real honor to be a part of the event, and I want to Thank Joe Keeslar for visiting and Jay Hendrickson for organizing the day. I plan on doing a WIP on the knife I forged there, so keep an eye out for that. Here's a few pics:
I really would like to attend this event some day. What an honor to work in Mr Moran's shop especially with Joe there.
It be be Great to see you there, Lin...Next year, same time!
