The 2017 Museums by Candle Light event in Frederick County, Md., turned out to be a great time at the William F. Moran, Jr. Museum We started the event with a Member's Meeting in which I presented the Topic of "Making Blade Smithing Tongs". Afterwards, we were open to the public and I, along with Jay Hendrickson & Steve Knuckles demonstrated the forging of some basic hunting knives. There were snacks, drinks, and great attendance! Make sure to check this annual event out if your in the area next year. Here's a few pics- there's Bill's Forge, anvil, & power hammers. If you look above at the beam, you'll see a hand-made bow that Bill made- too cool. If you haven't been here, you need to come on down For more pics of the forge & videos of Bill, check out our website at William Moran Museum.
