"The Arkansas Bladesmiths Group" is planning to be in Mt. View, AR for their annual "beans and outhouse racing" festival on Oct.30-Nov.1. There will plenty of music, food, crafts and, hopefully nice weather. We will be the guests of Stone Co. Ironworks. They have graciously allowed us to use their "vintage blacksmith forge" located behind their store on the square in Mt. View. We will be demonstrating the art of knifemaking using the age old forging process. I'm sure many of you probably know about Mt. View and their rich heritage of folk, mountain, and bluegrass music, plus Arkansas handmade crafts. The art of bladesmithing and blacksmithing are old world arts that we are interested in preserving.
